 Baldwin's Cottage is situated between Short Sands and Long Sands beaches. Eatery's and gift shops and various amusements are close by. Of course, the big attraction is the beautiful beaches of York Beach, Maine.
Just south of York Beach, Maine is Kittery where you will find a major shopping mecca filled with your favorite outlet stores. Traveling north, you will travel thru Ogunquit, a beautiful and very quaint seaside village which boasts Perkins Cove famous for its fine shopping and restaurants. Then onto Wells Beach and Kennebunkport. About 45 minutes up the coast from York Beach, L L Bean will beckon you in.
Directions:
From the Maine Turnpike (I-95) take Exit 7 - the Yorks.
Take a right onto Route 1 South.
At first traffic light, take a left onto Route 1A (York Street).
Follow 1A past Long Sands beach, turn right onto Nubble Road
(Cutty Sark Motel on the corner of Nubble Road and 1 A).
Follow Nubble Road, which follows the ocean, until you come to the Nubble Light House.
Take a left across from the lighthouse turn and you will be on Cycad Avenue.
Your cottage is Number 74 Cycad which is on the left near the end of the street.
